2027 Niagara Awards: Empowering Women

The YWCA of the Niagara Frontier proudly presents the Niagara Awards: Empowering Women Luncheon, taking place on February 2, 2027, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This annual event celebrates the strength, achievements, and impact of women in our community while raising vital support for YWCA programs that empower women, support survivors, and promote equity for all.

We are honored to welcome acclaimed actress and Buffalo native Christine Baranski as our keynote speaker, marking her special return to the Buffalo area. Known for her remarkable career on stage and screen, Baranski brings not only talent and distinction, but also a powerful voice for women’s empowerment and resilience.

Guests will enjoy a meaningful afternoon featuring inspiring stories, community recognition, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Proceeds from the luncheon directly benefit YWCA programs, including domestic violence services, rape crisis support, affordable housing, and child care initiatives.

The Niagara Awards was established by the Board of Directors of the YWCA of the Niagara in 1997 as a fundraiser to publicly recognize and honor women who make significant contributions to the Niagara and Erie communities specific to the YWCA’s mission of empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
